The organisation

Aruma was formed in 2018 when two great disability organisations; House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation, joined together.  With over 100 years of combined experience, Aruma’s purpose is to “support people with a disability to live a great life, the life they want, the life they choose”. Aruma provides a range of services including: Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, flexible supports in the community, children’s services, support coordination, supported employment, as well as therapy and clinical services. Aruma supports over 5,000 people with a disability throughout the east coast of Australia.

The role

The CEO will inspire and mobilise the ELT and entire organisation to:

  • Shape strategy for impact.
  • Drive customer-driven services that consistently deliver results.
  • Transform systems and processes to support seamless delivery.
  • Create cultural alignment across multiple geographies and service streams.
  • Achieve financial surplus for investment in people, customers and innovation.
  • Influence the broader disability system for positive impact.
  • Deliver excellence in quality, and compliance with requirements across multiple jurisdictions and service streams.

Experience, knowledge & skills

To be successful in this role, you will be:

  • An experienced executive with an exemplary record of leading a large, complex or multi-faceted human services or commercial organisation across multiple geographies.
  • Experienced in leading a dispersed diverse workforce across multiple geographies.
  • Accomplished in working in complex stakeholder and regulatory environments.
  • Successful in leading multifaceted change across operations, digital and culture.
