The organisation
The Can Too Foundation is an independent health promotion charity that transforms lives through fun, fitness, friendship and fundraising. Can Too offers professionally coached training programs across NSW and Queensland using qualified and experienced Coaches plus caring Mentors and Team Captains. Can Too trains all levels, from beginners to more experienced athletes, in structured training programs tailored to specific physical challenges such as running races, ocean swims, trail walking and adventure challenges, offering an opportunity for personal growth and transformation. In return, participants raise funds for ground-breaking cancer research by early-career Australian scientists at reputable medical research institutions.
Can Too has now trained over 17,000 people within Australia who have raised almost $25 million to fund around 200 cancer researchers and is well poised to continue to deliver on its purpose and grow its impact. As the Australian community grapples with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, under the leadership of its next CEO, Can Too will embark on a process to formulate a new three year strategic plan to deliver significant growth and potential diversification of activities/regions from a financially sound base and highly engaged community. It is proud of its culture, the connectedness of its community and its track record of transforming lives and funding research
