The organisation

Baptcare is a faith-based not-for-profit organisation operating across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, and providing residential and community care for older people and support to children, families, and people with disability, financially disadvantaged people and people seeking asylum.

Baptcare has been built over a 75-year history of providing care and support to vulnerable and sometimes marginalised people in their community. Today their broad range of services are led and delivered to 32,000 Australians by over 3,500 staff and volunteers.

The role

The Board of Baptcare are currently looking for their next Chief Executive. The Chief Executive will ensure that the vision and mission of the organisation become a reality by leading this legacy organisation through a significant transformation across services, digital technology and investments. They will collaborate broadly across the sector and bring a strong personal commitment to their Christian faith.

Experience, knowledge & skills

To be successful in this role, you will be:

  • Experienced leading a complex, multi-disciplinary Human Services or people-centred business;
  • A strong leader with a refined influencing style and a high level of emotional intelligence;
  • Adept at leading transformation across technology, organisational structure, investments and workforce-delivered services;
  • A confident face for the organisation, build partnerships, and collaborate broadly across the sector;
  • A committed practising Christian.
