Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) has served and partnered with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for thirty years to ensure the financial success and economic independence of Indigenous Australians and Torres Strait Islanders. It has done this by building mutually respectful and productive partnerships with Indigenous Australians, government, non-government and private sector organisations.

IBA is looking to appoint a Director Housing Solutions to be responsible for ensuring the continued success of its long-established home lending program. You will ensure that IBA’s home lending policy and products are responsive to Indigenous customer needs and are delivered effectively and efficiently. As a member of the senior leadership group you will represent IBA and continue to enhance the well-established trust and confidence in our work, leveraging your network and reputation.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with high-level influencing skills to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of clients and stakeholders. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will demonstrate strong personal drive, enthusiasm, and a focus on results. The ability to achieve in program delivery and manage a large team to deliver results are critical and essential skills.

The successful candidate will require a tertiary qualification in either banking or finance, accompanied by professional expertise in the Australian banking sector, preferably with home lending specialism and a strategic understanding of the Australian housing system. You must be able to travel as required and manage the national network to undertake this role. Experience in running a national network of regional offices is preferred.
