Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) is looking to appoint an Executive Director Government Relations to design and deliver senior stakeholder engagement strategies.
You must be strongly aligned to the values of having respect for, being connected with, and being responsive to clients. You will be reporting to the CEO as part of the Executive Team; and you will continue to enhance the well-established trust and confidence in the work of IBA, leveraging your established network and strong reputation.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of engaging individuals at all levels and will continue to strengthen the organisation’s positive working relationships with key Government Departments and Agencies, and with key Indigenous stakeholders. You will thrive in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment and establish new, as well as enhance existing networks to promote the organisation’s current goals. You must have the presence, intellect and influence to accelerate this important work.
The successful candidate will ideally have a tertiary degree qualification in a relevant discipline combined with senior executive leadership expertise. This will be supported by demonstrated professional mastery in providing strategic engagement advice within a complex and national environment. The ability to quickly recognise and resolve critical and sensitive issues, provide high-level authoritative advice and to liaise, negotiate, consult and influence are all critical and essential skills.
