Worldwide, more than 75 million young people are unemployed. But many employers struggle to find people with the skills they need for entry-level jobs. Generation was created in 2014 to help bridge this gap—at speed and scale. Today, Generation is active in 12 countries, 100 cities and 275 sites, with diverse social, economic, and labour-market contexts.
Generation’s goal is to help their students achieve personal and professional success—and fundamentally change their life trajectories. Generation programs prepare unemployed or underemployed people for jobs in four sectors: healthcare, technology, retail/sales, and skilled trades.
About the role
In this role, you will conduct fortnightly 1:1 sessions to check in with students and help them overcome any issues that they may be experiencing throughout the program. Additionally, you will provide informal, ad hoc support through quick chats, texts, or phone calls. You will be providing practical social support by counselling your clients to overcome difficult issues in their personal lives. You proactively evaluate daily interactions with students and creating long-lasting interventions to ensure their success.
You will support Generation’s Impact Monitoring and Evaluation by collecting data and feedback from students when advised, and ensure that there is an accurate record of student progress into the workforce.
