An excellent opportunity to contribute to a highly successful organisation in a multi-faceted way.
Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) has served and partnered with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for thirty years to ensure the financial success and economic independence of Indigenous Australians and Torres Strait Islanders. It does this by building mutually respectful and productive partnerships with Indigenous Australians, government, non-government and private sector organisations.
IBA is looking to appoint a Senior Manager Program Development to provide leadership to staff located within their designated area of responsibility. You will be able to work with a significant degree of independence while reporting to the Director of the Business Solutions Program. You will, along with the Director, be responsible for the strategic design and implementation of various program initiatives that support Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses.
This organisation is a workplace where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people work alongside people of many diverse backgrounds, in a collaborative and respectful environment. Critical to your success will be your ability to liaise, communicate, and negotiate sensitively and effectively with Indigenous individuals and communities.
The successful candidate will develop operating strategies, assist with the implementation and management of key projects, and provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to team members. You will manage complex stakeholder relationships while developing national networks to aid in the facilitation of program delivery. The ability to accurately capture, manage and report information is a critical and essential skill.
You must have a well-developed personal drive and be able to demonstrate a commitment to action. You will be excellent at negotiating with confidence and communicating at a leadership and formal level, demonstrating your well-developed business acumen and expert knowledge of small business development. To be successful in this role you must have a current driver’s license, a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to undertake regional and remote travel as required.
To apply, you MUST submit both a CV and covering letter outlining why you are interested in the Senior Manager Program Development role and explain how your skills, experience and values align to this opportunity. You must also submit the required IBA coversheet.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
