The organisation

MTC Australia, established in 1989 in Marrickville, Sydney, began as the Marrickville Community Training Centre. With a vision to shape a society where everyone has the means and motivation to create a life of their choosing, MTC initially focused on assisting the most disadvantaged. Over the years, it has expanded its mission to support individuals from all backgrounds in improving their employment skills and prospects.

MTC delivers high-impact federal and state government-funded employment, training, and youth programs, supporting around 20,000 people annually. These programs aim to build skills, self-worth, and opportunities for transformative change.

With over 43 locations and more than 470 employees across NSW and Queensland, MTC gives people the inspiration, capability, and opportunities to create a fulfilling life.

The opportunity

MTC Australia is seeking an independent member to join its Audit, Investment and Risk Committee (AIRC). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an organisation with a strong social mission and a history of transformative impact.

As a Committee Member, you will play a crucial role in overseeing MTC’s financial and risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organisation’s commitment to social impact. This position offers a chance to work alongside a diverse and experienced Board, comprising experts in business leadership, digital transformation, financial management, and community services.
