The organisation
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW) is Australia’s trusted charity partner for the conservation of wilderness and wildlife. For over 50 years, FNPW has been at the forefront of protecting over 600,000 hectares of national parks, restoring habitats, and safeguarding endangered species like the Cassowary and Leadbeater’s Possum. FNPW partners with local communities, scientists, and First Nations people to create lasting environmental impact.
The role
FNPW are seeking two Non-Executive Directors to join their board, one with expertise in Marketing & Fundraising and the other in Finance & Risk, coupled with a personal passion to protect and expand Australia’s unique biodiversity. These roles are pivotal as FNPW delivers on their strategic goals for 2025-2028.
Director – Finance & Risk Committee
Your financial acumen, oversight and risk management will further enhance the organisations capability for significant growth in the coming years. Strong experience in financial management, governance, and risk frameworks is required to lead new strategic partnerships and contracts. This role also provides the opportunity to step into the Finance & Risk Chair role in the future.
Director – Marketing & Fundraising Committee
Leverage your extensive brand and marketing experience to influence strategy and contribute to the brand’s future growth potential. FNPW are looking for a leader experienced at securing partnerships, ideally with a background in corporate fundraising and winning major grants.
