The organisation

Established in 1992, Coast Shelter on the NSW Central Coast is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and intergenerational despair and disadvantage by providing comprehensive support to those facing homelessness and domestic violence.  Providing vital and essential services to the community which include emergency accommodation, transitional housing, counselling, advocacy, and access to essential resources, all aimed at empowering individuals and families to secure and maintain safe housing.

Recognising the intersectionality of homelessness and domestic violence, Coast Shelter offers specialised support tailored to survivors, including safe accommodation, counselling, legal assistance, and community outreach programs.
