The organisation
The Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) NSW is Australia’s pre-eminent youth charity, empowering young people to reach their potential, working with Police and community partnerships. For more than 87 years, PCYC has been building capacity in the communities they serve across regional and metropolitan NSW.
With a robust network of 66 clubs and centres across the state, over 100,000 members with a broad range of activities, programs and events. PCYC is the largest provider of sport and recreational facilities in NSW, delivering sport, music, life skills, self-development projects, mentoring, homework clubs and much more on a daily basis. Through their work, PCYC is equipping the rising generation of Australians with the skills, attitudes that are fundamental to navigating the challenges they face both today and into the future.
The opportunity
The PCYC NSW Board is now seeking committed and experienced Board Directors to bring a passion for empowering youth through sport; strong corporate, government and philanthropic networks and a desire to leverage these networks create impact and scale growth. Directors will collaborate with newly appointed CEO, Ben Hobby, and the Board of nine peers, to re-position the organisation as an innovator in disrupting the cycle of disadvantage.
