The organisation
batyr is a dynamic Australian non-profit charity established in 2011, dedicated to improving young people’s mental health. batyr are leaders in prevention and stigma reduction. Through lived experience storytelling and peer to peer education, batyr creates a safe platform for open conversations about mental health. batyr recently celebrated 10 years and set a bold new strategy to realise their ambition to impact 3 million young lives by 2030.
The role
The CEO will be responsible for bringing the organisation’s 2030 strategy to life. You will be an experienced leader capable of motivating and inspiring a dynamic and passionate team and working with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure continued innovation and growth. You will be commercially minded and experienced, yet balanced in your approach to ensure genuine social impact is created and measured for lasting change.
You will be experienced in working with and reporting to a board and engaging with key funders, particularly government, donors and partners operating in the mental health system. You will be a skilled communicator, capable of inspiring individuals within the organisation and beyond to galvanise change, and you will demonstrate your understanding of, and role in systemic change as the world around our young people continues to evolve.
As a seasoned leader you will bring financial literacy, and experience in operational and governance excellence.
