The organisation

Culture College, established in 2014, is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation with a DGR status although it operates as high growth standalone sustainable profit organisation.

Culture College’s mission is to help accelerate Australia’s Reconciliation through two-way cultural immersion programs delivered by First Nation’s educators to secondary schools’ students and employees of organisations.

With almost a decade of successfully delivering Cultural education to institutions at scale, Culture College is well positioned to help schools, corporations and Government deliver their respective Reconciliation Action Plans as the Reconciliation movement Nationwide gains momentum.

Culture College currently operates out of the NE Arnhem Land in close collaboration with the Yonglu on their Land.

Culture College will be expanding its operations into Sydney mid 2024 with the launch of its Sydney Harbour Campus on the land of the Eora Nation.

The role

Culture College is seeking a self-motivated First Nations leader who believes through their leadership, Culture College can realise the potential of in making significant positive impact to Australian society through Reconciliation.

They are looking to appoint an executive who can lead, oversee and develop the organisation through a crucial next period of growth.

The successful candidate will be a member of and have strong connections within the First Nations community. They will have experience leading an organisation engaging in service delivery and bring commercial acumen and previous track record of successfully growing a business and building a team. Listening will be an important part of this role, as well as strong people skills and an ability to lead a geographically spread team.

An excellent communicator and experienced in stakeholder engagement, the new CEO must be able to develop rapport with partners (internally and externally) with the public and private sector, and government. They must be able to present to small and large audiences and be the face of the Culture College brand. They will bring experience in developing and implementing strategy.

The new CEO will be aligned to the mission and values of Culture College and be a passionate advocate of reconciliation.
