The role
Working closely with a new CEO – and collaboratively as part of the executive leadership team – this role plays an integral part of implementing The Y NSW’s vision and mission, and in delivering on the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives.
The primary responsibility of the COO is to provide strategic leadership for the Children’s Services, Recreation, and Camping functions of the organisation, and ensure the effective delivery of both strategic and operational elements, as well as identifying new opportunities. The COO will drive continuous improvement efforts to deliver high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders.
The Y NSW is looking for an experienced executive who is a skilled communicator, with an ability to engage their entire team. Strong commercial acumen is essential, along with a track record of working across diverse functions and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth. The successful candidate will bring previous P&L oversight. Experience of managing change in a complex environment is also essential, as is previous experience of operating within a regulated environment. The COO should be skilled in implementing strategy and have the ability to build relationships and lead a diverse team.
