Opportunity to use your skills, knowledge and experience with one of Australia’s top for-purpose consultancies

  • See your team thrive due to your excellent project management skills
  • Contribute to strengthening the for-purpose sector
  • Support a committed and passionate team to create social impact

People for Purpose is an organisation committed to supporting the for-purpose economy in Australia. Operating for eight years, we’re a small team with deep sector experience and a track record of excellence. We believe that great leadership, good governance and clarity of purpose leads to greater social impact; everything we do is directed to support this belief. We work with social enterprises, charities, not for profits, foundations, and the people that work – or want to work – within them. We partner with senior leaders and organisations to encourage strength, resilience and innovation within the space.

Our work and expertise encompasses:

  • Finding and placing fantastic senior leaders
  • Governance support
  • Education and advice
  • Events to bring together leaders and organisations for networking and learning
  • Advocacy (promoting the unique needs and features of the sector to the corporate world)

Your responsibilities will be a varied and diverse range of tasks, designed to make a real impact on projects while developing your communication, team working and project management skills. You will contribute to the administrative function and a variety of processes that support day-to-day business operations. You will be capable of managing multiple and, at times, competing priorities, as well as diary planning and keeping the team on track, reminding them of deadlines.  Additionally, you will manage events and create presentations and reports.

You have 3-4 years’ experience in an administrative role, with outstanding attention to detail. Organised proactive, and self-motived, you’ll have a confident approach and be a team player. You will be keen to learn and have a genuine appetite for responsibility. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be able to converse with a variety of people. You will enjoy problem solving and have the ability to make informed decisions and take initiative, or ask questions to help you do so. You will be tech savvy, take pride in your work and will thrive in a busy and broad role.  You are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of working independently.

This role is a full-time, paid position with flexibility on working from home at times, with our office based in Barangaroo and may require occasional after-hours work.
