Help shape the future of a values-driven organisation in growth—supporting Deaf and hard of hearing communities through innovation, equity, and access
- Use your sales & business skills to ensure long term sustainability
- Shape growth and impact across commercial and social impact streams
- Drive operational excellence and a performance-led culture
The organisation
Expression Australia exists to connect people, culture, and community through language and advocacy. They provide services that enable inclusion and participation for people who are Deaf and hard of hearing, and are proud of their legacy as a community-led organisation committed to social equity and access.
The organisation is in a period of exciting transformation – embedding new leadership, strengthening culture, and repositioning the business for growth and broader impact. With a renewed focus on sustainability and service excellence, they are looking for a business and sales leader who can help guide them into their next chapter.
This role comes at a critical time, as the organisation continues to adapt to a dynamic funding environment shaped by the NDIS and seeks to expand its influence and resilience through diversified income.
The role
The newly created Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) role will play a pivotal part in achieving Expression Australia’s profitability over the organisation’s long term. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CRO will lead the organisation’s revenue strategy across all revenue-generating activities including services, marketing, sales and customer service.
You will work closely with the CEO, support Expression Australia’s commercial and services and sales teams, and collaborate across the organisation to embed a performance mindset and identify new opportunities for impact and growth.
EA is seeking someone who is commercially savvy, purpose-led, and comfortable leading with both numbers and narrative. A strong track record in commercial leadership, business development, or revenue strategy is required, as is strong financial and strategic acumen, with experience across diverse revenue streams. Experience in stakeholder engagement and confidence as a skilled communicator is important, as is an understanding of (or openness to learning about) Deaf culture and inclusive practice.
This will be a hands-on role.
Expression Australia is committed to creating a workplace that reflects and serves the diversity of our community. They strongly encourage people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, and those with lived experience of disability to apply. We welcome adjustments to support accessibility throughout the process.
