The opportunity
As part of a planned, staged Board renewal program, Link Wentworth is seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director to join its established, high-performing and collegiate Board. This is an opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s next phase of growth, service transformation and sector influence, while supporting strong governance, organisational performance and long-term sustainability.
We are seeking a commercially experienced director with a strong corporate leadership background, strategic and operational depth, clear financial acumen and experience in the human or community services sector, particularly across disability, mental health or vulnerable communities.
In addition, candidates will bring senior expertise in either people and culture / workforce strategy — including HR, workforce planning, organisational leadership, transformation, mergers or integration.
You will bring mature governance judgement and a demonstrated commitment to governance excellence. Significant Board or Committee Chair experience would add valuable governance seniority, together with the confidence to engage constructively with management, test assumptions, oversee performance and risk, and contribute to robust strategic decision-making.
Collaborative, curious and operationally grounded, you will understand what effective implementation requires and balance ambition with organisational capacity and readiness. You will be values-aligned, genuinely connected to social purpose, able to commit the necessary time to Board and committee responsibilities, and willing to contribute to — and potentially chair — a Board committee
