The role

WSCLC is seeking a Non-Executive Director (Finance) to strengthen the Board’s financial governance and strategic oversight. In this role, you will serve as a Member of the Finance & Audit Committee, guiding financial management, risk, and reporting to ensure the organisation’s sustainability, transparency, and accountability.

Your financial expertise will help shape the future direction of WSCLC as it continues to evolve its skills-based board and broaden its funding base. You’ll play an active role in high-level decision-making, supporting a growing organisation committed to social justice and community impact.

WSCLC are looking for a professional with strong finance and commercial acumen—ideally a CA/CPA or with equivalent senior financial experience—along with prior board or governance exposure. You’ll be forward-thinking, commercially minded, and aligned with WSCLC’s mission to support vulnerable communities. Previous experience or an understanding of the for-purpose space would be an advantage.

A strong connection to Western Sydney—whether through lived experience or professional involvement—is highly valued. So too is your ability to collaborate with a committed board and CEO. Candidates from diverse backgrounds, or with experience in human services, multicultural or community sectors, are encouraged to apply. Your time, insight, and expertise can help drive meaningful change in a purpose-led organisation.
