The organisation

Capital Health Network (CHN) is the ACT’s Primary Health Network, established by the Australian Government to improve the coordination, accessibility and effectiveness of primary health care across Canberra and the surrounding region. Through commissioning services, building workforce capability and fostering collaboration across the health system, CHN invests more than $34 million annually into services that improve health outcomes for the community.

As the health system continues to evolve, CHN is undertaking Board succession planning to strengthen its governance capability, broaden its diversity of experience and ensure it continues to provide strategic leadership across an increasingly complex operating environment.

The opportunities

Capital Health Network is seeking applications for two board-level appointments:
  

  • One Non-Executive Director with expertise in system-level health strategy and reform, commissioning and outcomes- based contracting, Community and consumer engagement, Government relations and policy navigation.
  • One independent Audit, Finance & Risk Committee Member with expertise in enterprise risk management, government compliance frameworks, strategic financial stewardship, NFP service delivery, Commonwealth grants administration.

  
These appointments offer a meaningful opportunity to shape primary health outcomes for communities across the region, with a strong commitment to cultural safety, equity and inclusion. You will contribute to an organisation that sits at the centre of the ACT’s health system, working alongside government, clinicians, community organisations and consumers to improve health outcomes for all Canberrans.
